Next Steps
Our portal will guide you through the following steps to successfully complete an application. After your application is verified by our team, we’ll submit your official documents to a vetted, qualified, local registered agent for expedited processing under the flag of your choosing.
Step 1: Create and Verify a User
After a successful application, you’ll receive an email (sent to the email address in the “Early Access” form) with a link prompting you to create a free user account. From this account, you will have access to our intuitive user dashboard along with step-by-step instructions on how to register your ship. Once your user account is set up, we’re required to verify your identity for KYC and AML purposes. You will be required to upload a form of ID. Depending on your nationality, other proof may be required, such as proof of address or a recent photo.
Step 2: Complete Online Application
Next, you will provide via web form and file upload, the necessary information which will determine the correct classification of ship registration you require, registration fees, as well as additional registration options and benefits which our local network partners may also assist you with prior to submitting to the registry of your choosing.
Step 3: Pay Fees
Based on the form data you input and the official document uploaded, a final price will be calculated which corresponds to the locally registered agent fees and the ship registry fees. A one-time Mariflag fee of $399 will be due in order to prepare the necessary documents and applications required by the appropriate registry. Following this, only the registered agent and official ship registry fees will be due in order to process your application.
Step 4: Track Progress
After payment of all fees, and an agent is assigned, your documents will be reviewed and vetted for error by the local representative agent. All progress will be tracked in your user dashboard progress bar. I an issue is flagged by the agent, you will be notified within the dashboard and provided instruction on how to resolve the matter. Throughout the process you can interact directly with our support and the registered agent partner as well as monitor the status of your registration from the day it is submitted until the day it is accepted and delivered to you, via secure file transmission.

Why Register your ship with us?
Mariflag is a solution that specializes in international ship registration to streamline processes, maximize convenience and reduce costs!
The nationality of a ship will determine whether it can travel internationally as it is proof of ownership of the vessel. Ship registration is the process by which a ship is documented and given the nationality of the country to which the ship has been documented. The ship registration is an important legal as well as practical matter. Although a vessel may have a flag state and a port of registry, and both a national and international identity, each of these identities is independent of the others.

How Long does ship registration take?
Registration times vary port-to-port but on average take 3 – 6 weeks. Our platform is designed to speed up this process but much of the process depends on whether there is a backlog at the desired registry. Who Will Act as the Registered Agent?
Our registered agents are vetted, qualified, and most importantly are physically located in the destination with which we offer this service. They already have experience and have built relationships with the ship registries and are well trained in the process.
What is the Cost to Register?
During the process of filling out your ship registration application, the necessary fees will be calculated based on your submitted answers and requirements.

Do I need to Register a corporation?
In most cases, if you are an individual who is a permanent resident within the country you wish to register, no.
